Editing video in Adobe Premiere Pro was tedious before I bought this: everything was mouse moves because I had not memorized the keyboard commands. The ShuttlePRO v2 looked like what I wanted and the price was great for a prosumer device. I hesitated to buy it because 1) the description does not specifically mention support for Premiere; 2) some negative reviews on the 'Net about poor functionality; 3) a write up on the 'Net specifically about using the jog and shuttle functions of this device with Premiere Pro.
I took a chance and am very glad that I did. It's excellent. I'm an engineer and one of the highest compliments I can give an item is "it just works." Install the driver, select the Adobe Premiere Pro profile and get to work editing. The build quality is comparable to $100 Logitech multifunction mice, and the operation of almost everything is obvious (after putting the pre-printed labels under the button caps.)
