Software Reviews of Hoyle Casino 2008 [OLD VERSION]Customer Review: The best game to-date Summary: 5 StarsI usual don't play much games, but this casino game is the best one yet. I have hours of fun, playing a variety of casino games. Its real life animations are great, you feel like your actual in the casino. The game has a tutorial that helps you along the way, so you can learn about the game as you play. I am impress with the way the characters look and sound so real and their comments are so funny at times. I really enjoy playing and hope that whoever sees this review would get one. The best thing about this is that you can play as long as you like, bet as much as your (pretend) credit card allows and you don't have to suffer and true life consequences. Thank you Hoyle board casino games.
Customer Review: Nopoint in buying new edition Summary: 2 StarsI already had HC2004 and was looking forward to updated graphics, more interactive gameplay and improved game selection. What I got was just about the same thing! What was even more tough to take was it didn't even provide the opportunity to load like an upgrade! I lost all my past history. They didn't even offer any more choices to face maker! This whole thing is nothing more than 2004 with a couple new games. Save your money buy a discounted copy of 2004!
Customer Review: Fun games, but dated looks Summary: 4 StarsI downloaded the full-featured 60-minute demo from Hoyle's own website and loved it, so I came here to buy the real thing. Great selection of games: all the table games, good variety of slots, video slots, and video poker (including multi-hand poker), even mechanical horse racing!
On the downside, the appearance and interface IS very dated. Everything works smoothly, though, and all the game play is here that you'd expect from a trip to a casino. Casual computer gamers and casino regulars will have a ball with this.
Something to keep in mind: This game comes on a DVD-ROM. Some people with older computers are fully capable of running this game, but you may not have a DVD-ROM drive. In that case, you can buy & download this game direct from Hoyle's website.
Customer Review: Vegas playing Summary: 5 StarsThis is a cool CD and I was really interested in the 3 card poker and different types of slot machines. Not as free with the money as they are in Vegas........
Customer Review: Hoyle Casino 2008 Summary: 2 StarsI find this game and also the 2007 version very geared to only the computer hands. It is grossly unfair and most of all not CONSISTENT. It will give playable hands for several times and then completely shut down my hand for hundreds of games. It does not matter if I am aggressive or passive. It is not fun to play these games for only a few hands at a time and not to be competitive for so many games. I have emailed Encore repeatedly to find out if there is a problem, but have received no responses.
