In the last week of Oct-2009 I received an email inviting me to upgrade to the latest version of Fluenz Spanish for just $8.00 and I could also add Spanish 3 for another $69.00 (Total + $77.00) What a deal.
You can run the program off your hard drive now. It remembers what the last lesson you were practicing is.
I had an installation problem. I called Fluenz and a support person answered immediately. They were very polite and understanding even though I was a whining complainer. Changing one word in the shortcut properties window solved the problem. Piece of cake.
When I ordered the old version back in March-2009 I also bought 4 supplementary books:

Not only are the products top notch both in design and execution, but the customer service is some of the best I've ever experienced... If you need to deal with the company about anything it is clear that they have a true concern and passion for what they do. We have both the Mandarin and the Spanish programs... The production is big screen quality and the course work itself is outstanding. I'm in my mid-fifties... old neurons for learning a new language, especially one like Mandarin. But they make it lots of fun and highly doable. Highly recommended... and no, I have no connection with Fluenz, other than as a customer.Customer Review: Amazing Customer Service

Have had this program for about a month now and it's a decent way to learn Spanish but the program has some serious flaws. First off it completely hogs your computer, can only be run full screen and you can't use the Alt + Tab function in Windows to switch to another program if you need to do something else on your computer. There's also a problem with no way to bookmark where you leave off so you always have to start from the opening screen and then work your way back to where you were. You also can't go back to a previous section without starting over and then clicking the next button (sometimes ten or twelve times) to find the set of exercises you want to get back to. There are also some errors in the spelling and translation of words. All in all it's not a bad beginning program and there are some very useful exercises but I'm not sure yet if it's worth the price (over $[...]). On the plus side I've read that the customer service is great and that they're looking for ways to improve the software so maybe by the time you read this review they will have already addressed the problems that I've written about. It would also be an improvement if you could copy the program to the hard-drive so you didn't have to insert the DVD each session.

After I wrote this review I was contacted by Fluenz Customer Service and they told me that they have upgraded the program and fixed all the things that I complained about. They offered me a free upgrade to the new version (F2). I've never experienced such great customer service . . . this company is obviously focused on complete customer satisfaction. Will all the improvements to the program they now have the best Learn Spanish Program on the market. I would highly recommend it.

We love Fluenz! At first we blanched at price, but then realized it was a bargain compared to what we'd pay in tuition for a course in a bricks and mortar institution. Then we did a thorough comparison of various competing products, with Fluenz clearly head-and-shoulders on top. Then we talked to a friend of ours who is getting his Phd in linguistics about Fluenz' learning theory; he totally endorsed that. We ordered Spanish 3 the very moment it became available! It's a blast! We're so glad the creators of Fluenz gave this to us!Customer Review: Fun and Easy!

I'm having a good time learning Spanish with Fluenz. To me, the most important part is the explanation in English. It is very helpful to have the differences between English and Spanish explained. Also, I need to see the words and type them out to learn. I download other podcasts for review, but I could never learn a language without seeing the words.
I was worried about what I would do to keep learning after I finished with Fluenz 2. Happily, they just created Fluenz 3, which I ordered immediately, even though I'm not done with 2 yet.
