Software Reviews of H&R Block TaxCut 2008 Premium Federal + State + e-file [OLD VERSION]

Customer Review: Tax Cut
Summary: 4 Stars

The product was great and quite easy to use. My only problem was that it did not automatically calculate the State deduction for income from pensions, 401ks etc. I had to add my amounts and put it in the box and it THEN calculated the deduction... they need to "fix" this problem.

Customer Review: Easy to use
Summary: 5 Stars

I've use tax cut every year since 1996. I feel I always get the maximum on my returns. I thought the delivery time was too long at 11 days to get it. However it was free so I will just order it earlier next year.

Customer Review: Not as I hoped.
Summary: 1 Stars

Admittedly I purchased this because it was less expensive than Turbo Tax. I hoped that the reputation of H&R Block meant that this product would be, at least... good. I was disappointed. If you have anything more than a very simple return, I recommend against using TaxCut. I guess I got what I paid for.

Customer Review: TaxCut 2009
Summary: 5 Stars

Good product. Easy to use. Does a nice job helping the user find all possible tax deductions. However, this product might not be the best choice for someone with an overly complicated tax return, unless you're interested in spending a lot of personal time completing it.

Customer Review: It's almost all good
Summary: 4 Stars

Very easy, very helpful. Much easier than flipping pages and doing the tables, etc, yourself - it does them in the background. The only issue I have is it doesn't seem to let you change a line in the form if you want to override something. I found one mistake (I think - due to money earned without a W2) and it wouldn't let me override/edit the line in the form.
