I am underwhelmed with this product. First- I didn't realize I needed a microphone, duh, so I had to get one. Second- it jumps right in to basic sayings, words, pronunciation- but without any real language instruction. My teen daughters who have taken Spanish in high school stood by wondering how they could have me practicing words without any real explanation. It seems this is a good way to learn very basic Spanish for trivial conversation, but not much else. I was happy with the price, and the little video clips, etc. are nice. Compare this to $100, $200 and $300 products that do the exact same thing. This is my second language I'm learning other than my native tounge so I know what I'm looking for.
This program uploaded smoothly onto my computer, took about 5-10 minutes and presto you can start. You also have the ability to have multiple users on one program which is nice for individual progress.
Program measures your progress, has voice recognition and enables you to choos what you would like to learn next. It is very comprehensive. Did I mention it is unbelievably affordable.
I give this product 2 thumbs up for its compatibility, ingenuis software and overall ease of use so anyone can figure it out.
It also comes with 3 CDs so you can listen to them in the car and practice that way.
I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to save a buck and learn the language, say good bye to Rosetta and those other expensive ripoffs.

I purchased this program based on other's reviews. So far I am liking it a lot BUT didn't know that your computer needs a microphone to operate product. I have just recieved this product and can not review it's contents at this point. I wanted to make people aware that the system requirements do not mention that to install the main program you need a cd/dvd-rom drive. Before I could even access this language program, it was necessary to purchase and install a new drive to my computer. It would have been nice to be aware of this when I ordered the program.
