I found that my son will type with this program and improve his typing techniques and times, but only once I made it a pre-requisite before he could do anything else on the computer--each time. I have five grand children who have learned to type using this progam. One is graduating from high school and has used this knowledge to type his papers for school for a few years. It has certainly helped him in his grades. The twins are just learning and almost finished. This is the best course for learning to type I have found. I have even recommended it to grownups in order for them to learn the keyboard and become better PC users. I rate this a five star program as anyone can learn with this program. It is hard to rate software that won't run on your machine. I have Windows XP, home edition, 1 gig ram, and it won't let me past the sign in screen where you add your name to the list as a student, and select your target typing speed. I do not have hours to spend on the telephone with tech support. I have to work during the hours that tech support is available. I just wanted a typing program that worked. I was looking to improve my typing for my job and decided with the good reviews this product had received it would be more helpful. Probably works better for kids than adults wish I had gotten Typing Master Pro, I downloaded the demo it seems like it would help me more. Customer Review: Works for every member of the family!

We have 5 children and all of our children have learned or are learning to type with this program. The interface is easy to manage and all levels can find something to work on here. My kids like the games that come with the program, and I like the customizable nature of the setting...music or no music, texts that they provide or I can input my own.
Right now, we are using this with our 14yo, 13yo, 10yo and 7yo. The 4yo gets to try it while sitting on my lap. Our 13yo is approaching 100wpm and the other children are progressing nicely, too.
We are using this on Windows Vista and have not had any problems, even though Vista is not mentioned in the product information.
