I just received this program and really wish I had read some of the recent reviews before buying as well. The software assumes YOU ALREADY KNOW basic chemistry. Each section is presented as a set of questions pertaining to the topic of your choice. If you don't understand the question or concept it allows you two options. You can click the "Learn" button and a new window will pop up explaining the general concept behind the question or you can click the "Explanation" button and it will again show you a slide explaining the steps to find the answer for that specific question.
There are no interactive tutorials, or progressive learning sessions. All it is is a quiz and test maker that allows you to review subjects you should have already learned in a classroom setting. Hence the name Chem "TUTOR" not Chem "TEACHER"
I found the interface easy to use but very cheap in its presentation. It has a complete periodic table, and references tables to help you figure out the questions, but doesn't even offer a basic calculator let alone a scientific calculator that you will need from the get-go.
If you want easy to use software to help you brush up for an exam than this is it, if you want to learn Chemistry keep looking for a better product or enroll in a class.
