I had the 2008 version. I was not that happy with it since it could be slow at time. I was thinking to switch. However, after reading some review, decided to give it another try. 2009 version is faster and I'm more happy with it.

Blue screen of death.....After removing all 3rd party software, using symantec and McAfee cleaning tools, updating all drivers and MS/Leveno software, running virus scans cleaning registry, tweeking everything under the sun and 3 weeks of working with Kaspersky tech support (which I must say was very responsive) I give up! Somethings are just too hard. I downloaded McAfee Security and was up and running in no time.

Kaspersky is the way to go. I've used Norton, McAfee & others. This beats them all for various reasons. I can get a full version of McAfee free from Comcast, my ISP. Installed it once and regretted it. Ditto with Norton. These programs use a lot of system resources and can make it unusably slow (and just try to completely uninstall them!). I've never had this problem with Kaspersky.

I paid about $35 for a 3-user license version on sale at Amazon, which is an excellent price (Retail stores charge upwards of $70). Installed it, and never had a problem. Or a virus. Can't say the same for any other anti-virus or internet security software.

Simple:

1. I have used this product for about three or more years now. I have never been infected.

2. I repair computers for "a living." I recommend and install this product on my customer's computers after cleaning malware from them. I often find McAffee or Norton on these infected computers, by the way. None of my customers have been infected since installing Kaspersky.

3. Any effective AV program will take a hit on PC resources, otherwise it is not truly protecting your computer continuously. Kaspersky takes less of a hit than McAfee, Norton and others based on my field observations.
