Spending 12 years in the corporate world of I.T. I have tested most of the big players when it comes to AntiVirus s/ware and I have come back to Kaspersky.
This product is NOT a resource hog like Norton and has better support for it (if you are a home or small office user) than others like mcafee.
It has a fantastic feature "Virtual Keyboard" that allows you to type your credit card details or other personal data into websites when purchasing online via mouse clicks so as to stop the chance of any possible key logging program catching you.
Constantly checks for updates in the background almost every hour for peace of mind.
Only gave it 4 stars because though it is a fantastic program, it can sometimes be a pain to get installed and working properly, though I have only ever seen this problem 2 (once was on one of my own systems)
My Opinion - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Some of the Internet Security products really load down your computer. I have found that this can vary greatly from deferent computers. Zone Alarm to me was once a very good program, but it eventually become more of a problem than a help. The same has occured with Norton and McAfee in the past. Some reviews on Kaspersky are now beginning to show more people having more problems than in the past. For me, right now, Kaspersky Internet Security has been working satisfactory. I have had 2008 and now have 2009 version on my computer. Some times when it is downloading its updating information it will slow my computer but it is not for long. As stated earlier, I feel save with Kaspersky. NONE will be 100% all the time, but you can only hope that your secutity system will work MOST of the time.Customer Review: WOULD NOT INSTALL

I could not install this product on neither of my two computers. It claimed there was existing anti-virus that needed to be removed on both PC's but there was no such anti-virus. I tried support, forums, etc.. to no avail. I finally gave up and purchased Norton 360 V3.0 which installed with ease.Customer Review: Kaspersky scans when it wants to, locks up your computer!

I've been using Kaspersky for quite a while now, and I've had it with this company. Their software starts a scan in the middle of the work day despite the fact that I've configured it only to scan in the middle of the night. I can watch the count of files scanned click by while the entire rest of my computer is useless. Need to send an important email, get on a conference call via Skype, or check your calendar to find out the details for a meeting starting in five minutes? Well, you won't be doing it until Kaspersky decides to stop scanning -- and that might be 10 minutes and 200,000 files from now! All I get from Customer Service is "Wow, we've never heard of that." Right. I've got the only copy of Kaspersky in the world that scans when it should not.
Bottom line: Kaspersky might do a decent job of protecting your computer, but if you need to be able to use your computer right away, well, don't count on it!
