I am very happy that I purchased the Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2006 program. I mainly make greeting cards and having the ability to send the card as an ecard is great, especially with postage increasing soon. I will now use the program to make more cards than I usually have done in the past. I like the ability to change the card format from quarter fold to half fold before you print the card. The ease of printing an envelope is a plus also. This program also has the feature of picking the type of card that you want, funny, sentimental etc and that helps to limit what cards you have to choose from instead of looking at all the cards in a category. My family is very happy with this purchase.Customer Review: HAVE FUN

Before I purchased this program I had a few questions about it. I called Creative Home's technical support line. A friendly and patient young man answered all my questions. I was very glad that I could use the data in my older event planner in the new version.
I love the new version of Card Studio that I recently received in the mail. I think it is a great step forward for this line of software. I would recommend this version above all previous release. Hope you have some fun with it!!

Hallmark has some wonderful pictures/graphics in the cards they have for your use, but the graphics in their clip art section are very limited both in selection and quality. They continue to not upgrade the editing possibilities in their programs and in this edition (2006 Deluxe), they even removed the crop tool! You still can only select one graphic at a time, all other graphic programs allow you to select several graphics at one time. You also can only have one project open at a time, so if you want to use elements from two different cards to make your own card, that is not possible. I would have expected more from Hallmark by this time. The 2005 edition was lower end, so when I saw the new 2006 by a different manufacturer, I eagerly anticipated many changes for the better. This product seems to be a step backward. I would suggest you would get more for your money by buying CreataCard, Print Shop or PrintMaster. I am very disappointed in this product (and Hallmark should be, too!).Customer Review: great support

I received this program right before Halloween. I was struggling with the program at first. I called tech support and they walked me through using the software. The main positive attributes of this 2006 Deluxe edition of "Hallmark Card Studio" include the possession of improved graphical user interface, which is very easy to understand and master. Any new user of this software will feel at home within few hours of tinkering around it. The design tools have received some facelifts, and their respective versatility gained as a result. The same applies to their positions. Another thing going for this software package is its reasonable retail price tag, which very much made it a great bargain: relative to the job it does.
As per negative attributes, most of the useful tools in this software are far from being as flexible as most users would want them to be. This is often the downside of most template-oriented graphics suites, which makes your having complete control of your design almost impossible.
One other minus here is the poor printing options that you will find in this "Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2006". In fact, the inclusion of these sort of scanty/stingy printing options in a design tool is almost unpardonable. Nothing will ever compensate designers for it! The last but not the least, is the poor service that you are bound to receive from Hallmark's Customer Support Department, if you ever need to iron-out any issue with them. They are simply careless, and very far from being friendly. And, to worsen the whole thing, the information which you will obtain from their website, (regarding this software), is less than satisfactory. I don't know if they ever thought of customer support when they produced this software. This is quite unfortunate for an application software, which has been around for some ten years now.
