Software Reviews of Intellisync 4.0Customer Review: Lousy Customer Support Summary: 3 StarsI have used intellisync 3.5 for several years and have found it adequate although technical support was limited/expensive, so encouraging purchases of upgrade. I just bought 4.0 as an upgrade but didnt notice that they had dropped support for Meeting Maker which is my calendaring Application. The last version which supports MM was version 3.7 which is no longer in stores and only avaialable from their website. I called their support # and best they could suggest was to buy v3.7 and east the cost of 4.0 since they wouldnt do an exchange.Their are to morals to this story : (1) Read the compatibility/functionality sttements BEFORE you buy and (2) try not to do business with customers service orgs who care only about $.....not customers satisfaction.
Customer Review: Product Works Erratically and Tech Support is Poor Summary: 1 StarsI installed this product in early February and have been fighting to get it to sync my e-mail from Lotus Notes 4.5 ever since. The calendar syncs fine, but the software terminates every time during the e-mail sync and nothing transfers. I have reinstalled both the Intellisync and Palm applications, had my drives and network profiles reinstalled, and configured Intellisync every way under the sun. Pumatech tech support gave me a few suggestions, none of which worked. When I called back, they wanted me to buy a "tech support ticket" for $19.95 because my 30 day free tech support warranty was expired!I'm not wasting any more time or money on this product. I'll switch to something that works.
Customer Review: Intellisync 4.0 is well worth the $$$... Summary: 5 StarsI can finally use my Palm the way I want. Great product. Simple to use and very versatile. Had no problems keeping dates on my Calender and using my outlook. It also has great personaliztion tools. Overall well worth the money.
Customer Review: simple, easy to use Summary: 5 StarsThis is great for users of Palm and Outlook. Email synch is full of problems, but contacts, to do lists and calendar works just fine. No hassles. Before you buy you can download a test version for free from Pumatech. You can also go desktoptogo.com for their trial run. I tried both and this one is definitely better.
Customer Review: A product I could use, but tech support is TERRIBLE Summary: 1 StarsSince I'm a Lotus Organizer user, I need a third party application to sync my calendar information. Intellisync seemed to fit the bill. However, I couldn't get the software to install and all the Puma tech support would say is that if I was running any software (at all) other than Windows, they would not provide tech support. She recommended that I UNINSTALL ALL SOFTWARE and call back! What a terrible policy. Of course, I wasn't about to do that, so I installed it on another machine, which worked with just a few glitches. That's when I found out that Intellisync will only synce timed calendar entries, BUT NOT ALL DAY APPOINTMENTS. Since I rely on using ALL DAY appointments, it was useless to me. So if all you have is short appointments and no other software on your PC, you may be OK. Otherwise, try another product.
