I've been using Paperport for over 10 years. I've been using Paperport 9 Deluxe since it came out about 4 years ago, and just tried Paperport 12. Believe me, Paperport 9 Deluxe is a great program. It is fast, simple to use, and does just about everything I need it to do. Since issue 9, Nuance has tried to make the program do a bunch of fancy stuff, and they have ruined it. This is the issue to own. If anybody at Nuance reads this, here's a message for you: just re-issue Paperport 9 Deluxe with a small update so we can make notes and annotations on PDF files, and forget all the other fancy stuff. We don't need it.
