Customer Review: Jagged ink lines

After trying desperately to like this program for months, I have decided that this is a complete waste of $$.
1) Inking tools produce jagged lines. These lines don't smooth when you export the file.
2) The tones that are included look too unprofessional. I ended up buying real tones and scanning them instead.
Try out the trial version instead of buying this one.

Manga Studio Debut 4 is full of ways to make professional comics just like the box says.
BUT! you would think that software with a simple premise like this would be a little more user friendly and streamlined. Having to make new "layer types" for sketches and panels is a little daunting, in my opinion. I guess I was hoping for "Comic Life" with drawing tools and panel cutters, and simple layers. Again this is a good product, just research the interface thoroughly before you buy it. If you like your software simple and straight forward this is not it. If you don't mind learning to be real technical and artistic at the same time, then you might like it.

If you want a toy, then get this version, but if you'd like a really great tool for drawing manga, then get the EX version. The EX version may be much more expensive, but if you're a serious artist, then you might as well throw away your money if you're going to buy this version. To give you an example of how many features that this version is missing: it doesn't have vectoring, an eyedropper tool, or even a gradiation tool! Check the website's manual for a list of features it doesn't have.
Skip this version, buy the EX version.

While the product itself takes some figuring out (for someone just learning!) it arrived a day early and in great shape! I would def buy from this seller again!
