I was very disappointed to find that the old multitap will not work with the new design of the PS2. The design is different...so its not compatible, but I am having a hard time finding the new multitap, even though according to the Playstation.com website, it was released on Nov. 1. I don't even know the difference in appearance. Its just another way for them to make money...they came out with the same system in a new design...and you have to buy all new things. They are beginning to become to much like the computer industry...*sigh*Customer Review: IS IT WORTH IT?

I must say this multitap is one of the worst buys their is out their. Playstation doesn't have the multitap built in like x-box or other similar systems so you have to buy this in order to play multiplayer games...Speaking of which how many are thier. Have you noticed that their really are not that many multiplayer games out there. This multitap costs so much I am surprised many buy it for how many times they would actually use it. The fact is, is that the consumer rate compared to the cost you are paying for the actual prodcut is much lower then the $26 you are spending. You have to consider how many times you are going to use the product before you start going out and buying it. I use this product has much as I can with my friends. Party use is useless cause you know how parties go everyone goes crazy. For sports games it excellent but with large numbers of people (Over 4 people) you will have to get another multitap anyways so you can fit at least 8 people onto the system. Thats a $50 value!! Unless you all are really going to play it that much I would recommend not to buy this product. It sounds good but in order to buy it you must be able to use it. With certain amount of non-use the Sony Playstation Multitap causes disorder and turns defected which is hazardous to your playstation 2. Instead of buying a mulitiap I would recommend a online adapter. Same Multiplayer value, no wires, and no smelly people sitting next to ya.Customer Review: YOU PEOPLE ARE FEEDING SONY!!!

Dont buy multiap it stinks it gets unplugged easily and is very expensive if you want four players why not drill holes in your ps2 You people are feeding sony ALOT of $$$ PS2 has bad MULTIPLAYER games anyway If you want Great Multiplayer get GAMECUBE or XBOX PS2 is too much MONEY.Customer Review: (...)

All my Friends (exept me I was smart to get Gamecube) have ps2 my friends went to play it with me and we play PS2 we need to take turns playing cause the STUPID MULTITAP my friend doesnt have it Im glad he didnt they break easy they bearly work and are EXPENSIVE so I wanted to invite my friens over to have a BLAST with GAMECUBE!!! Note PS2 suck hard at MULTIPLAYER games anyway they dont have much get GAMECUBE if you want good MULTIPLayer Games.Customer Review: Addictive gaming is just around the corner....

Four buds, some Buds, and hours of slaughtering each other, Timesplitters 2 is a beautiful game in multiplayer. Make sure you buy the Sony brand though, anything after market is crap, theres a reason why it's cheaper...
