Customer Review: Bridge Baron is NOT the strongest bridge program

The strongest computer bridge program is determined each year at the annual World Computer Bridge Championship, which has been sponsored since 1997 by the American Contract Bridge League and the World Bridge Federation. In the two most recent championships in 2008 and 2009, the Bridge Baron program did not reach the semi-finals. Bridge Baron has won only the first of these ACBL/WBF events, back in 1997. The best computer bridge program today is Jack, which six times won first place in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, and 2009. Searching the internet for "world computer bridge championship" will produce links to all of these tournament results and interesting articles about the world of computer bridge.
